"Whatever the style of music, I try to be a lyrical player," Tom said. In 2012, Tom graduated from New York University, where he was an adjunct faculty member. Tom was also a faculty member at Douglaston School of Music and Art. Tom recorded his debut album “Sweet Pastimes” in 2013. Its intimate ballads, jovial swing tunes, and bebop gained international radio play. Last year, Tom was the visiting artist at The University of Colorado Denver in their early jazz group, The Claim Jumpers. "Since coming back to Colorado, I found that there was this growth in Denver and the jazz scene as well.
