"The first time I knew music was very important was when I had this feeling from the music, when it hit me hard emotionally," Joe said. "If you have aggression, or you have sadness or happiness, music channels right to that and connects." Joe was introduced to jazz by KUVO. "Jazz influenced me early on to work on my technique of playing." Joe said. Joe is inspired by the Denver music scene and excited for the future of jazz. "There's new jazz clubs popping up everywhere and a lot of the young musicians I hang out with are definitely very into jazz," Joe said. "The younger generation is going to help push [jazz] forward and the older generation is going to help usher in that new era as well as inspire it."
