At four years old, she requested to take piano lessons and never looked back. Camilla began playing jazz as an eight grader in her middle school's band, but didn't fall in love with the music until she joined Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts in high school. Now jazz heavily influences all her music. "The base is always jazz, especially with my personal compositions. There's always an underlying jazz tone," Camilla said. She is currently pursing a bachelors in jazz and commercial music at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music. "Jazz inherently is a style that draws elements from world music, from pop music, all of these other styles, and I think that's what makes jazz so unique and so progressive," Camilla said.
